Finding Woodworking Plans

Finding Woodworking Plans

Have you run out of ideas for a gift to get that special person?  We've all been there.  Woodworking sites offer plans for all sorts of gifts and household items.  Most of these plans are very reasonably priced at under $10.  Some sites offer free plans, but generally speaking, these are not as sophisticated as those you would pay for.

You'll be surprised at the number of unique items you'll find, that you would never see in a retail outlet.  I've listed several links below for websites that sell quality plans, but don't buy a plan just yet.  If you find something you like, use the Requesting Custom Work link to submit a request.  Should we decide to go forward with your request, I would obtain the plan as part of the process.

Right-click on the link in the left column, then select Open Link in a New Windows, or Open Link in a New Tab.

This is a great site for free plans.  While it has links for a large number of plans, those links are often on other sites so the going might be a little cumbersome.
There are very few free plans here, but the plans they have are nice.
Woodworker's Journal has some very nice plans in PDF downloadable format.  There is also a nice search feature.
Lot's of plans, and very organized.
Plenty of plans in a very well organized site.
